Each piece feels unearthed—raw, deliberate, and alive with the fingerprints of its maker. Her studio is located in the Pueblo Arts Alliance in downtown Pueblo, but check out her online gallery here: Deadhand Art. And read our exclusive interview with her: Where Beauty Refuses to Die.

JON WATSON

CLARA KUPSCH
Clara, also known as ruby.matic, is a queer, autistic artist originally from Arizona. Their art is inspired by the beauty of nature, whimsical fantasy themes, and the wonder of the cosmos. Bright, saturated colors, and neat clean edges are important aspects to their style. Mystical creatures meant to represent guiding forces are featured heavily in their works. Using a layering technique using acrylic paints, many more shades and hues can be observed by patient eyes. Check out their work on Instagram: @ruby.matic.
